How can we reach the hotel by public transportation?

It is convenient to use the Subway from JR or Kintetsu “Kyoto” Station.
It is 1 minute walk from Subway “Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae” Station.
Also it is 5 minutes walk from Keihan Sanjo Station, and 10 minutes walk from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station.

How can we reach the hotel by car?

It’s about 15-20 minutes drive from JR or Kintetsu “Kyoto” Station.

The hotel can be accessed from major interchanges;

Meishin Expressway

Approximately 20 minutes from Kyoto Minami or Kyoto Higashi exits – time varies depending on traffic – From Kyoto Minami Interchange After exiting the interchange, drive north on Route 1 towards Horikawa Dori. Turn right at Horikawa Oike intersection and again right at Kawaramachi Oike intersection. The hotel is located immediately on your left.

From Kyoto Higashi Interchange

After exiting the interchange, stay on the right lane and follow the sign to Sanjo. Turn right at Kawabata Sanjo intersection, and then make a left turn at Sanjo Oike intersection. Please stay on the left, and turn left at Kawaramachi Oike intersection, and you will find the hotel immediately on your left.

If you have a car navigation system, set the destination to the “Kyoto Royal Hotel & SPA” or “Kyoto Shiyakusho”, Kyoto City Hall

Yes, the restaurant is popular among family guests, so children are welcomed.

Do you have dress codes for the restaurant?

Not in particular.

Is there any cover charge?

No, we don’t charge at either the restaurant and the bar.

How do we make payment?

We ask you to make all the payment on the day you hold the banquet.

Are there medical facilities with English speaking professionals near Kyoto Royal Hotel & SPA?

Sakabe Clinic is a 10-minute walk from the hotel and is open from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Morning hours are by appointment only.

Is there a drug store near the hotel?

Just a 1-minute walk from here hotel is a branch of the drugstore chain Kokumin Sanjyo, open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Are there electronics retail shops near the hotel?

A branch of the electronics chain Edion Teramachi is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. On the way, you will also find the popular variety goods store, Loft, and a branch of one of Japan’s most well known department stores Takashimaya.

Do you have parking spaces and if so, how much is it per hour / night?

We have 100 parking spaces. We have discount prices for guests, so please show your parking ticket to the staff. [Discount]

Is it possible to send luggage to the hotel prior to my arrival?

Luggage is accepted ONLY on the MORNING of your arrival. When sending luggage to the hotel in advance by a delivery service, please specify your arrival date with your name and date of stay clearly indicated. Please send to the following address:

Do you provide internet access?

We offer complimentary internet access. LAN cables are installed in each guestroom.

What is the cancellation policy?

Basic Cancellation policy is as follows;
Cancellation 1 day in advance : 20% of room charge
Cancellation on the day : 100% of room charge
No show : 100% of room charge

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time starts from 2 pm, and check-out time is 11 am.

Is breakfast included in the room charge?

No, breakfast is not included in the normal room charge. Packages with breakfast are also available.

May I have items that I purchased or ordered delivered directly to the hotel prior to my arrival?

For security reasons, we are unable to receive goods, parcels and packages prior to your check-in at the hotel.
